Welcome to Ellie & Eleanor Creations! Selling crochet and other fiber art, creative reuse projects, custom orders, and going wherever whimsy takes me.

My Story

Short version? The state of North Carolina doesn’t appreciate its employees and decided my medical specialists are no longer “preferred” in their health insurance cuts. Thanks Brad Briner and lackeys. I was born with a heart defect and can’t change doctors, so I started a business to monetize my hobbies.

What are my hobbies? I have ADHD, so pretty much anything and everything. But I love fiber arts, particularly crochet, and I think creative reuse is awesome. I wish I had more time for it.

Why Ellie & Eleanor? Ellie is a character from a web novel I wrote – a four year old girl on the spectrum, nicknamed mouse – and Eleanor is her comfort stuffed elephant. I want to embrace all things soft and cute and whimsical, as well as my own neurodivergent brain, so I thought these two were the perfect image of my business.

What I Offer

Currently, I am focusing on custom “granny” earrings. See the How It Works page to learn about the different ways you can build your pair of earrings! I also take crochet commissions; mainly amigurumi, but I’m open to other ideas.

Once I get started, I will add more options and products, and branch out into other craft areas. I would also love to invite others to sell through E&E, so who knows what we’ll have in the future!

My Values

I believe in:

  • Transparency and honesty. Sometimes to a fault.
  • People over profits. Always. I need the money, but I will never take advantage of a person to get it.
  • Reuse and sustainability. I love this planet and I hate what corporations and governments are doing to it. I’m not perfect, but I try.
  • Giving back. I will always donate some profit to local organizations that help my community, and will list exactly which products give back, to whom, and how much.

Fair warning: I have a strong moral compass and am a big fan of human rights. And I’m not afraid to use my voice in service of my values.
