Large granny square crocheted from a single multicolor thread, hooks, and a glass maple leaf. 40% silk, 60% wool crochet thread. Each square is stiffened on the back only to keep the shape but preserve the stitching. Large squares are about 3.5 cm (1.25 in) wide, 4-4.5 cm (1.75 in) diameter. Since all items are handmade, size can vary.
Note: If you wash these (gently hand wash ONLY), the stiffener will wash away. You can always add more if you like, or simply block the squares while they dry to keep the shape. Hanging them or laying them flat when not in use will also help preserve the shape.
